Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
Caramelized, crispy-edged Brussels sprouts with a sweet balsamic glaze and optional parmesan finish — the recipe that converts even the most reluctant sprout-skeptic at the table.
⏱ 25 minServes 4American
Ingredients
- •500 g (about 1 lb) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- •2 tbsp olive oil
- •1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- •1 tsp honey
- •½ tsp garlic powder
- •¾ tsp salt
- •¼ tsp black pepper
- •¼ cup grated parmesan (optional)
Directions
- 1Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- 2Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3 minutes.
- 3Place sprouts cut-side down in a single layer in the basket.
- 4Air fry for 12 minutes, shake the basket, then cook another 5–6 minutes until edges are deeply caramelized and crispy.
- 5If using parmesan, sprinkle over sprouts in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- 6Serve immediately as a side dish.
💡 Cut-side down placement is critical — it gives that beautiful caramelized flat face. Any loose outer leaves will crisp up like chips and are the best part. Omit parmesan and honey for a vegan version.
