Ingredients
- •700 g (1.5 lb) chicken breast tenders (or chicken breasts sliced into strips)
- •1½ cups Panko breadcrumbs
- •½ cup all-purpose flour
- •2 large eggs
- •1 tsp garlic powder
- •1 tsp smoked paprika
- •½ tsp onion powder
- •1 tsp kosher salt
- •½ tsp black pepper
- •as needed cooking spray (avocado or canola)
Directions
- 1Set up a three-bowl breading station: flour seasoned with salt and pepper in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and Panko mixed with garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder in the third.
- 2Pat chicken strips dry, then dredge each in flour, shake off excess, dip in egg, and press firmly into the seasoned Panko.
- 3Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes.
- 4Arrange tenders in a single layer in the basket and spray generously with cooking spray.
- 5Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping once at the halfway point and spraying the second side, until golden and cooked through (internal temp 74°C / 165°F).
- 6Serve with honey mustard, BBQ sauce, or ranch for dipping.
💡 Toast the Panko in a dry skillet for 2–3 minutes before breading for an even deeper golden colour.
