⏱ 28 minServes 4American

Ingredients

  • 700 g (1.5 lb) chicken breast tenders (or chicken breasts sliced into strips)
  • 1½ cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • as needed cooking spray (avocado or canola)

Directions

  1. 1Set up a three-bowl breading station: flour seasoned with salt and pepper in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and Panko mixed with garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder in the third.
  2. 2Pat chicken strips dry, then dredge each in flour, shake off excess, dip in egg, and press firmly into the seasoned Panko.
  3. 3Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes.
  4. 4Arrange tenders in a single layer in the basket and spray generously with cooking spray.
  5. 5Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping once at the halfway point and spraying the second side, until golden and cooked through (internal temp 74°C / 165°F).
  6. 6Serve with honey mustard, BBQ sauce, or ranch for dipping.

💡 Toast the Panko in a dry skillet for 2–3 minutes before breading for an even deeper golden colour.
