Ingredients

- •1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- •1/4 teaspoon salt
- •3/4 cup sugar
- •1/2 cup butter, softened
- •2 eggs
- •1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
- 3Beat butter and sugar until creamy, then add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Fold in flour mixture and almonds until combined.
- 4Divide dough in half and shape into two 12-inch long logs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- 5Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- 6Cool for 10 minutes, then slice diagonally into 3/4-inch pieces.
- 7Place slices cut-side down on baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until crispy, stirring halfway through.
