Banh Mi
A Vietnamese sandwich bursting with crispy baguette, savory pâté, fresh vegetables, and tangy pickled carrots and daikon.

Ingredients
- •1 Vietnamese baguette or French baguette
- •4 oz pâté or liver paste
- •4 oz Vietnamese cold cuts or ham, thinly sliced
- •1 cup pickled carrots and daikon
- •1/4 cup mayonnaise
- •2 tbsp soy sauce
- •1 fresh jalapeño, thinly sliced
- •1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- •1/4 cup thinly sliced cucumber
- •1 tsp butter
Directions
- 1Slice the baguette lengthwise and lightly butter the inside, then toast in a 350°F oven for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
- 2Spread mayonnaise on one half and pâté on the other half of the toasted baguette.
- 3Layer the cold cuts, pickled vegetables, jalapeño, cucumber, and cilantro evenly inside the baguette.
- 4Drizzle soy sauce over the filling and slice the sandwich in half diagonally.
- 5Serve immediately while the bread is still warm and crispy.
