Beef Chow Fun

Tender beef and silky rice noodles tossed in a savory soy-based sauce with bean sprouts and green onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound fresh wide rice noodles
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ cup beef broth

Directions

  1. 1Toss sliced beef with cornstarch and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Stir-fry beef until browned, then remove and set aside.
  3. 3Add remaining oil to the wok. Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. 4Add rice noodles and gently break them apart while tossing for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. 5Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and beef broth. Toss everything together.
  6. 6Add bean sprouts and green onions, then return the beef to the wok.
  7. 7Toss everything for 1-2 minutes until combined and heated through. Serve immediately.
