Beef Lo Mein

Tender beef and noodles tossed in a savory soy-ginger sauce with crisp vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces lo mein or egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Directions

  1. 1Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  2. 2Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat, cook beef until browned, then remove and set aside.
  3. 3Add remaining oil to the pan, stir-fry garlic, ginger, and vegetables for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. 4Return beef to the pan and add cooked noodles.
  5. 5Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and beef broth together, pour over noodles and beef.
  6. 6Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until heated through and well coated.
  7. 7Top with green onions and serve immediately.
