Beef Stir-Fry

Tender beef and crisp vegetables tossed in a savory soy-ginger sauce, served over steaming rice.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water

Directions

  1. 1Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Cook beef in batches for 2-3 minutes until browned, then set aside.
  2. 2Add remaining oil to the wok and stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. 3Add broccoli, bell pepper, and snap peas; stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. 4Return beef to the wok and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
  5. 5Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. 6Serve immediately over steamed rice.
