- •2 tablespoons lime juice
- •1/2 teaspoon cumin
- •1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- •1/4 teaspoon salt
- •1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- •2 tablespoons diced red onion
- •1/4 cup diced tomato
Directions
- 1Add black beans, sour cream, cilantro, and lime juice to a food processor.
- 2Add cumin, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper to the processor.
- 3Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.
- 4Transfer to a serving bowl and stir in diced red onion and tomato.
- 5Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
- 6Serve with tortilla chips, pita, or fresh vegetables.
💡 For smoother black bean dip, blend beans while slightly warm and add sour cream gradually; cold thick beans often need more liquid than expected.
