Blondie Bars

Ingredients
- •1/2 cup butter, softened
- •1 cup packed brown sugar
- •1 large egg
- •1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- •1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- •1/4 teaspoon salt
- •3/4 cup chocolate chips
- •1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- 2Cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- 3In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- 4Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts, then spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
- 5Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 6Cool completely in pan, then cut into 16 squares and serve.
