Bolognese

Ingredients
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •1 medium onion, diced
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 pound ground beef
- •1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- •2 tablespoons tomato paste
- •1/2 cup whole milk
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- •1 teaspoon dried basil
- •1 pound pasta
Directions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté diced onion until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- 2Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- 3Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes, then add crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and basil. Bring to a simmer.
- 4Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in milk and cook for 2 more minutes.
- 5Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions in salted boiling water. Drain and serve topped with Bolognese sauce.
