Ingredients

  • •1-2 shots of espresso (or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee)
  • •8-10 oz whole milk
  • •1/4 oz milk foam
  • •1 pinch cocoa powder (optional)

Directions

  1. 1Brew 1-2 shots of espresso into a large coffee cup (or use 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee).
  2. 2Heat 8-10 oz of milk in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming, or use a milk frother if available.
  3. 3Pour the hot milk into the espresso slowly, holding back the foam with a spoon.
  4. 4Top with a thin layer of milk foam (about 1/4 inch).
  5. 5Sprinkle with cocoa powder if desired and serve immediately.

💡 For a latte, steam milk to glossy microfoam rather than large dry bubbles; the texture should pour into espresso, not sit on top.
