Cape Breton Oatcakes

Ingredients

- •1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- •1/2 cup brown sugar
- •1 tsp baking soda
- •1/2 tsp salt
- •3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- •1/4 cup water
Directions
- 1Mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- 2Stir in melted butter and enough water to form a firm dough.
- 3Roll the dough between parchment sheets to 1/4 inch thick.
- 4Cut into rectangles and transfer to a lined baking sheet.
- 5Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18–20 minutes until the edges are golden.
- 6Cool completely before packing or storing.
