Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. 2Mix oats, flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and salt until crumbly. Press half the mixture into the prepared pan.
  3. 3Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg, then layer over the crust.
  4. 4Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the apples, then sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top.
  5. 5Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender.
  6. 6Cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
