Caramelized Onion Dip

Ingredients
- •3 large yellow onions, thinly sliced

- •1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- •1 cup sour cream
- •1 cup cream cheese, softened
- •1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- •1/4 teaspoon thyme
Directions
- 1Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add sliced onions with salt and pepper.
- 2Cook onions for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deeply golden brown and caramelized.
- 3Stir in minced garlic and thyme, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4Deglaze the pan with balsamic vinegar and let it reduce for 1 minute, then remove from heat and cool slightly.
- 5In a bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- 6Fold the cooled caramelized onions into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
- 7Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with crackers, bread, or vegetable crudités.
