Caraway Seed Cake

Ingredients
- •200g all-purpose flour
- •150g unsalted butter, softened
- •150g granulated sugar
- •3 large eggs
- •2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- •1 teaspoon baking powder
- •1/4 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •60ml whole milk
- •1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- 2Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- 3Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and caraway seeds.
- 4In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 5Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
- 6Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- 7Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- 8Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
