Ingredients

  • •2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • •1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • •1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • •2 eggs
  • •1/2 teaspoon salt
  • •1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • •1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • •2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. 1Mix shredded cheddar cheese, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl until combined.
  2. 2Roll the cheese mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined plate.
  3. 3Refrigerate cheese balls for 10 minutes until firm.
  4. 4Beat eggs in a shallow bowl and place breadcrumbs in another shallow bowl.
  5. 5Dip each cheese ball in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat completely.
  6. 6Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  7. 7Fry cheese balls in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  8. 8Serve warm with ranch dip or your favorite sauce.

💡 Chill the cheese mixture for 20 minutes if it feels too soft to shape; cold cheese balls bread much more cleanly.
