Cherry Clafoutis

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cups fresh or canned pitted cherries
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F and butter a 9-inch round baking dish.
  2. 2Blend milk, flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a blender until smooth, about 1 minute.
  3. 3Pour half the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 5 minutes.
  4. 4Scatter cherries over the partially baked batter and pour remaining batter over top.
  5. 5Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. 6Cool for 10 minutes, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm or at room temperature.
