Chicken Stroganoff
Tender chicken in a rich, creamy sour cream sauce served over egg noodles for ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients
- •1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- •4 tbsp butter
- •8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- •1 medium onion, diced
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- •1 cup chicken broth
- •1 cup sour cream
- •1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- •12 oz egg noodles
- •to taste salt and black pepper
Directions
- 1Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- 2Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tbsp butter, then sauté mushrooms and onion until softened, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- 4Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stir well, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 5Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 6Return chicken to the skillet, reduce heat to low, and stir in sour cream and Dijon mustard until fully combined. Simmer for 3-4 minutes without boiling.
- 7Serve chicken stroganoff over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
