Chicken Tawook
Marinated chicken skewers grilled to perfection and served with tahini sauce and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients
- •2 lbs boneless chicken breast, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
- •1/4 cup plain yogurt
- •3 tbsp olive oil
- •3 tbsp lemon juice
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tbsp ground cumin
- •1 tsp paprika
- •1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- •to taste salt and black pepper
- •1/2 cup tahini
- •2 tbsp water
- •1 onion, cut into chunks
- •2 bell peppers, cut into chunks
Directions
- 1Mix yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- 2Add chicken cubes to the marinade, stir well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
- 3Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes, then thread marinated chicken alternately with onion and bell pepper pieces onto the skewers.
- 4Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil it.
- 5Grill skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and lightly charred.
- 6While chicken grills, whisk tahini with water and lemon juice to make a creamy sauce, season with salt and pepper.
- 7Serve hot skewers with tahini sauce, fresh vegetables, and pita bread on the side.
