Chicken Teriyaki
Tender chicken glazed in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, served over steamed rice.

Ingredients
- •1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- •1/2 cup soy sauce
- •1/4 cup mirin
- •2 tbsp sugar
- •1 tbsp rice vinegar
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- •1 tbsp cornstarch
- •2 tbsp vegetable oil
- •2 tbsp water
- •2 green onions, sliced
- •1 tsp sesame seeds
Directions
- 1Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- 2Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water.
- 4Pour the teriyaki sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly for 2 minutes until thickened.
- 5Return chicken to the skillet and coat thoroughly with sauce, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- 6Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately over steamed rice.
