Chicken Teriyaki Donburi

Ingredients
- •1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- •2 cups cooked white rice
- •1/4 cup soy sauce
- •2 tbsp sugar
- •1 tbsp mirin
- •1 tbsp vegetable oil
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tbsp ginger, minced
- •1 tsp cornstarch
- •2 tbsp water
- •2 green onions, sliced
- •1 tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
- 1Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken pieces until golden and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- 2Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, mirin, cornstarch, and water.
- 4Pour the sauce over the chicken and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- 5Divide cooked rice into serving bowls and top with teriyaki chicken and sauce.
- 6Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
