Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions chopped

Directions

  1. 1Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes until doubled.
  2. 2Meanwhile, brown the ground pork in a skillet, then add soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and green onions. Simmer for 5 minutes and cool completely.
  3. 3Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll each into a 4-inch circle. Place a spoonful of filling in the center, then gather edges and pinch to seal.
  4. 4Place buns seam-side down on parchment squares. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
  5. 5Bring water to a boil in a steamer pot. Arrange buns on the steamer rack, cover, and steam for 12-15 minutes until fluffy and cooked through.
