Chinese Steamed Buns (Baozi)

Ingredients
- •3 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 cup warm water
- •2 teaspoons instant yeast
- •2 tablespoons sugar
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1 pound ground pork
- •3 tablespoons soy sauce
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon sesame oil
- •2 green onions chopped
Directions
- 1Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes until doubled.
- 2Meanwhile, brown the ground pork in a skillet, then add soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and green onions. Simmer for 5 minutes and cool completely.
- 3Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll each into a 4-inch circle. Place a spoonful of filling in the center, then gather edges and pinch to seal.
- 4Place buns seam-side down on parchment squares. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
- 5Bring water to a boil in a steamer pot. Arrange buns on the steamer rack, cover, and steam for 12-15 minutes until fluffy and cooked through.
