Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. 2Mix 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. 3In another bowl, whisk together egg, 1/2 cup milk, oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. 4Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then transfer batter to a piping bag.
  5. 5Pipe batter into prepared donut pan and bake for 8-10 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. 6Cool donuts for 5 minutes in pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. 7Whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, and 3 tablespoons milk to make glaze.
  8. 8Dip cooled donuts into chocolate glaze and let set for 10 minutes before serving.
