  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. 1Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. 2In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
  5. 5Pour batter into the preheated waffle iron, filling until nearly full, and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
