Classic American Pancakes

Ingredients
- •2 cups all-purpose flour
- •2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- •2 teaspoons baking powder
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •2 large eggs
- •1¾ cups whole milk
- •2 tablespoons melted butter
- •1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •as needed butter for griddle
Directions
- 1In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- 2In another bowl, beat eggs and mix in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- 3Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined; small lumps are okay.
- 4Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and lightly butter it.
- 5Pour ¼ cup batter for each pancake and cook until edges look set and bubbles form on top, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6Flip and cook the other side until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
- 7Serve hot with maple syrup and butter.
