Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs shrimp, large, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp horseradish, prepared
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 shallots, halved
  • 1 tsp dill, fresh, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning

Directions

  1. 1Fill a large pot with water, add shallots and Old Bay seasoning, and bring to a boil.
  2. 2Add shrimp to boiling water and cook 2–3 minutes until pink and curled.
  3. 3Transfer shrimp immediately to an ice bath to stop cooking and chill completely.
  4. 4Stir together ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
  5. 5Taste cocktail sauce and adjust horseradish or lemon to your preference.
  6. 6Drain chilled shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.
  7. 7Arrange shrimp around the rim of a serving platter with cocktail sauce in the center.
  8. 8Garnish with fresh dill and serve immediately.
