Ingredients
- •1 cup unsalted butter
- •1 cup granulated sugar
- •2 tablespoons water
- •1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- •8 oz milk chocolate, chopped
- •1/2 cup roasted almonds, finely chopped
Directions
- 1Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- 2Combine butter, sugar, and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- 3Stop stirring and let the mixture boil until it reaches 300°F (hard-crack stage) on a candy thermometer, about 10-12 minutes.
- 4Pour the hot toffee onto the prepared pan, sprinkle salt evenly, and let cool for 2 minutes.
- 5Scatter chopped chocolate over the warm toffee and let sit for 1 minute until melted, then spread smoothly.
- 6Sprinkle chopped almonds over the chocolate and press gently.
- 7Cool completely at room temperature, then break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
