Classic Meatballs and Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. 1Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl; mix until just combined.
  2. 2Roll mixture into 16-20 meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. 3Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown meatballs on all sides for 5-7 minutes.
  4. 4Pour marinara sauce over meatballs, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. 5While meatballs cook, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain well.
  6. 6Divide spaghetti among serving plates and top with meatballs and sauce.
