Classic Pepperoni Pizza

Classic Pepperoni Pizza

The ultimate Friday-night pizza with a crispy-bottomed crust, tangy tomato sauce, and curled, slightly crispy pepperoni slices. Simple, crowd-pleasing, and better than delivery.

⏱ 35 minServes 4American

Ingredients

  • 500 g store-bought pizza dough (e.g. Pillsbury or bakery fresh)
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 60 slices pepperoni slices
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the middle rack for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2Stretch or roll dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch round and transfer to a piece of parchment paper.
  3. 3Brush dough edge with olive oil, then spread pizza sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. 4Scatter mozzarella over sauce, then layer pepperoni slices evenly on top.
  5. 5Sprinkle oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over everything.
  6. 6Slide parchment and pizza onto the hot stone or pan and bake 10–13 minutes until crust is golden and pepperoni edges are curled.
  7. 7Rest 3 minutes before slicing.

💡 For extra-crispy pepperoni, microwave slices on paper towels for 30 seconds before topping the pizza — they'll curl up beautifully in the oven.
