Classic Pepperoni Pizza
The ultimate Friday-night pizza with a crispy-bottomed crust, tangy tomato sauce, and curled, slightly crispy pepperoni slices. Simple, crowd-pleasing, and better than delivery.
⏱ 35 minServes 4American
Ingredients
- •500 g store-bought pizza dough (e.g. Pillsbury or bakery fresh)
- •0.5 cup pizza sauce
- •2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- •60 slices pepperoni slices
- •1 tbsp olive oil
- •0.5 tsp dried oregano
- •0.25 tsp garlic powder
- •0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the middle rack for at least 30 minutes.
- 2Stretch or roll dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch round and transfer to a piece of parchment paper.
- 3Brush dough edge with olive oil, then spread pizza sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
- 4Scatter mozzarella over sauce, then layer pepperoni slices evenly on top.
- 5Sprinkle oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over everything.
- 6Slide parchment and pizza onto the hot stone or pan and bake 10–13 minutes until crust is golden and pepperoni edges are curled.
- 7Rest 3 minutes before slicing.
💡 For extra-crispy pepperoni, microwave slices on paper towels for 30 seconds before topping the pizza — they'll curl up beautifully in the oven.
