Ingredients

  • •8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • •6 oz canned crab meat, drained
  • •2 tablespoons green onions, minced
  • •1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • •1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • •24 wonton wrappers
  • •2 tablespoons water
  • •2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. 1Mix softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a bowl until well combined.
  2. 2Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. 3Wet edges of wrapper with water, then fold into a triangle and bring corners together to seal.
  4. 4Heat oil in a deep pan or wok to 350°F.
  5. 5Carefully fry wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, turning once.
  6. 6Drain on paper towels and serve warm with sweet and sour sauce or hot mustard.

💡 Drain crab thoroughly for rangoon filling. Excess water loosens cream cheese and can burst wrappers when hot steam builds during frying.
