Cream Puffs
Light and airy choux pastry shells filled with sweet whipped cream, a classic French dessert that's surprisingly simple to make.

Ingredients
- •1/2 cup water
- •1/4 cup butter
- •1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- •2 eggs
- •1 cup heavy whipping cream
- •2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- •1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 400°F. Bring water and butter to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 2Remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- 3Beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated and smooth.
- 4Pipe or drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and puffed.
- 5Remove from oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
- 6Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- 7Cut puffs in half horizontally and fill with whipped cream, then dust tops with granulated sugar before serving.
