Crispy Fried Calamari Rings

- •1 lb fresh squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- •1 cup all-purpose flour
- •1 teaspoon salt

- •2 cups vegetable oil
- •1 lemon, cut into wedges
- •1 cup marinara sauce
Directions
- 1Pat the calamari rings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 2In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- 3Heat oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 4Coat calamari rings evenly in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- 5Carefully place calamari into the hot oil in batches, frying for 1-2 minutes until golden and crispy.
- 6Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 7Serve immediately with lemon wedges and marinara sauce for dipping.
