Directions
- 1Peel potatoes and slice them into 1/8-inch thick slices using a mandoline or sharp knife.
- 2Layer potato slices and rotate 45 degrees, then slice again to create waffle pattern pieces.
- 3Soak potato pieces in cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch, then pat dry with paper towels.
- 4Heat oil to 350°F in a deep pot or deep fryer.
- 5Fry potato waffle pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy, working in small portions.
- 6Remove fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 7Season immediately with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika while still hot.
