Dates with Almonds
A simple, naturally sweet Middle Eastern breakfast of plump dates stuffed with crunchy almonds and served with creamy cheese.

Ingredients
- •12 Medjool dates
- •1 cup whole almonds
- •8 oz labneh or cream cheese
- •2 tablespoons honey
- •1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- •1 pinch sea salt
- •2 tablespoons pistachios, chopped
Directions
- 1Pit the dates by making a small slit along the side and carefully removing the pit with a knife or your fingers.
- 2Toast the almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, shaking occasionally, until fragrant.
- 3Stuff each date with 2-3 roasted almonds, pressing gently to fill the cavity.
- 4Arrange the stuffed dates on a serving plate and dollop labneh or cream cheese alongside.
- 5Drizzle honey over the dates and cheese, then sprinkle with cinnamon, sea salt, and chopped pistachios.
- 6Serve at room temperature or chilled.
