Denver Omelet
A fluffy, savory omelet loaded with ham, peppers, onions, and melted cheese.
⏱ 15 minServes 1American
Ingredients
- •3 large eggs
- •2 tablespoons butter
- •1/4 cup diced ham
- •1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- •2 tablespoons diced onion
- •1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- •1 pinch salt
- •1 pinch black pepper
Directions
- 1Beat the eggs in a bowl with salt and pepper until well combined.
- 2Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in an 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat and sauté the bell pepper and onion for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add the ham and cook for 1 minute, then transfer to a plate.
- 3Add the remaining butter to the skillet and pour in the beaten eggs, tilting the pan to distribute evenly.
- 4Once the eggs start to set at the edges (about 1-2 minutes), gently push the cooked portions toward the center, allowing uncooked egg to flow to the edges.
- 5When the top is still slightly wet but the bottom is cooked, add the cooked vegetables, ham, and cheese to one half of the omelet.
- 6Fold the omelet in half and slide onto a plate. Serve immediately.
