Directions

- 3Continue cooking for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring frequently, until the mixture turns a deep golden brown and thickens significantly.
- 4Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- 5Allow the dulce de leche to cool completely before transferring to a jar for storage.
