Fried Calamari

Ingredients
- •1.5 lbs squid, cleaned and cut into rings
- •1 cup all-purpose flour
- •1 tsp salt
- •0.5 tsp black pepper
- •0.5 tsp garlic powder
- •0.5 tsp paprika
- •1 cup whole milk
- •2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
- •1 lemon, cut into wedges
- •1 cup marinara sauce for serving
Directions
- 1Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- 2Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a shallow bowl.
- 3Pat squid rings dry with paper towels, then dip in milk followed by the flour mixture, coating evenly.
- 4Carefully place coated squid rings into hot oil in small batches, frying for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- 5Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 6Serve immediately with lemon wedges and marinara sauce for dipping.
