Garlic Naan
Soft, pillowy Indian flatbread brushed with garlic-infused butter and fresh cilantro.

Ingredients
- •3 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- •1/4 cup yogurt
- •2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •3/4 cup warm water
- •4 tablespoons butter
- •6 cloves garlic, minced
- •1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Directions
- 1Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Add yogurt and oil, then gradually add warm water while kneading until you form a soft, smooth dough.
- 2Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
- 3Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- 4Heat a cast iron skillet or tawa over medium-high heat.
- 5Roll out one dough ball into a thin oval or round shape about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6Place the dough on the hot skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes until light brown spots appear.
- 7While still warm, melt butter with minced garlic in a small pan for 1-2 minutes.
- 8Brush the hot naan generously with garlic butter and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
