Ginisang Sayote (Filipino Sautéed Chayote)
Filipino chayote sautéed with garlic, onion, tomato, and a little fish sauce.

Ingredients
- •2 large chayote, peeled and cut into matchsticks
- •1 small yellow onion, sliced
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tomato, diced
- •2 tsp gluten-free fish sauce
- •1 tbsp vegetable oil
- •1/3 cup water
- •1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
- 1Heat vegetable oil and cook onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
- 2Add tomato and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
- 3Add chayote and toss for 2 minutes.
- 4Stir in fish sauce, water, and black pepper.
- 5Cover and cook for 6 minutes until the chayote is tender-crisp.
- 6Serve hot.
