Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 leaves lettuce
  • 2 slices tomato

Directions

  1. 1Pound chicken breasts to ½-inch thickness using a meat mallet.
  2. 2Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl, then coat both sides of chicken.
  3. 3Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. 4Place a cheese slice on each hot chicken breast and cover to melt for 1-2 minutes.
  5. 5Toast buns lightly with butter in the same skillet until golden.
  6. 6Assemble sandwiches by placing chicken on buns and adding lettuce and tomato as desired.
