Ingredients

- •0.75 cup granulated sugar
- •0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened

- •1 cup sliced almonds
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 3In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- 4Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then stir in the almonds until combined.
- 5Divide dough in half and shape each portion into a 10-inch long log on the prepared baking sheet.
- 6Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and firm, then cool for 10 minutes and slice diagonally into 0.75-inch thick pieces.
- 7Stand slices upright on the baking sheet and bake for another 10-12 minutes until crispy and lightly toasted on both sides.
