Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. 1Crack eggs into a bowl, add milk, salt, and pepper, then whisk until well combined.
  2. 2Heat butter in an 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until foaming.
  3. 3Pour egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed for 30 seconds until edges begin to set.
  4. 4Gently push cooked edges toward center, tilting pan so uncooked egg flows to edges, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  5. 5When eggs are nearly set but still slightly wet on top, sprinkle Jarlsberg cheese and herbs over one half.
  6. 6Fold omelet in half and slide onto a plate, serving immediately while hot.
