Katsu Sandwich

Ingredients
- •2 pork cutlets (1/4 inch thick)
- •1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- •1 egg
- •1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- •2 cups shredded cabbage
- •4 slices white sandwich bread
- •1/4 cup tonkatsu sauce or Worcestershire sauce
- •2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1/2 teaspoon salt
- •1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- 1Season pork cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 2Set up three shallow bowls with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs respectively.
- 3Coat each cutlet in flour, then egg, then panko, pressing gently so breadcrumbs adhere.
- 4Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry cutlets 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5Spread tonkatsu sauce on two slices of bread, then layer shredded cabbage on each.
- 6Place one fried cutlet on each bread slice and top with remaining bread slices.
- 7Cut diagonally and serve immediately while warm.
