⏱ 25 minServes 2Japanese

Ingredients

  • 2 pork cutlets (1/4 inch thick)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 4 slices white sandwich bread
  • 1/4 cup tonkatsu sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  2. 2Set up three shallow bowls with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs respectively.
  3. 3Coat each cutlet in flour, then egg, then panko, pressing gently so breadcrumbs adhere.

  5. 5Spread tonkatsu sauce on two slices of bread, then layer shredded cabbage on each.

  7. 7Cut diagonally and serve immediately while warm.
