Keema Naan

Ingredients
- •2 cups all-purpose flour
- •1/2 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- •1/2 cup plain yogurt
- •2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1 pound ground lamb or beef
- •1 large onion, finely chopped
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- •2 teaspoons garam masala
- •1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- •1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- •2 tablespoons ghee or butter
Directions
- 1Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl; add yogurt and oil, then knead into a soft dough. Cover and rest for 20 minutes.
- 2Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the ground meat until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- 3Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger to the meat; cook for 3-4 minutes until onions soften.
- 4Stir in garam masala, red chili powder, and cilantro; cook for 2 minutes. Season with salt to taste and set aside to cool.
- 5Divide dough into 8 equal balls. Roll each into a thin circle, place 2 tablespoons of keema filling in the center, fold edges up, and gently flatten.
- 6Heat a cast-iron skillet or tawa over high heat until very hot.
- 7Place naan on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden and puffed, flip, and cook the other side for 2 minutes.
- 8Brush with ghee or butter immediately after cooking and serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
