Ingredients
- •12 phyllo pastry sheets
- •350 g ground beef
- •1 small onion, finely chopped
- •2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
- •1 tsp cumin
- •1 tsp paprika
- •1 egg
- •60 g butter, melted
Directions
- 1Cook the beef and onion with the cumin and paprika for eight minutes, breaking up the meat as it browns.
- 2Take off the heat, stir in the cilantro and the beaten egg, and cool ten minutes.
- 3Heat the oven to 200C.
- 4Cut each phyllo sheet into long strips and brush with melted butter, keeping the rest covered.
- 5Place a spoon of filling at one end and fold along the strip into a triangle.
- 6Brush the tops with butter and bake twenty minutes until deep golden and crisp.
💡 The egg is what binds the filling once it cools. Fill warm and the triangles leak and stick to the tray.
