Kofta Curry
Tender spiced meatballs simmered in a rich, aromatic tomato-based curry sauce with warming Indian spices.

Ingredients
- •500g ground beef or lamb
- •1 medium onion, finely chopped
- •2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tbsp ginger, minced
- •1/2 tsp cumin powder
- •1/2 tsp coriander powder
- •1/4 tsp red chili powder
- •2 tbsp oil
- •1 large onion, sliced
- •400ml canned tomatoes
- •1 cup yogurt
- •1 tsp garam masala
- •salt to taste salt
Directions
- 1Mix ground meat with chopped onion, cilantro, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, chili powder, and salt. Form into 12-16 meatballs.
- 2Heat oil in a large pan and fry meatballs until browned on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3In the same pan, sauté sliced onions until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- 4Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes, breaking them down with a spoon.
- 5Stir in yogurt gradually to avoid curdling, then add garam masala.
- 6Return meatballs to the pan, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes until curry thickens and flavors meld.
- 7Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
