Ingredients
- •500 g bread flour
- •2 tsp active dry yeast
- •1 tbsp sugar
- •1 tsp salt
- •320 ml water
- •120 g sesame seeds
Directions
- 1Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, salt and water, then knead ten minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 2Cover and rise ninety minutes until doubled.
- 3Divide into eight pieces and roll each into a long rope, then join the ends into a ring.
- 4Dip each ring in water, then press it into the sesame seeds until thickly coated all over.
- 5Rest the rings on a lined tray for twenty minutes.
- 6Bake at 200C for eighteen minutes until deep golden and hollow-sounding underneath.
💡 Dip in water, not egg. Water is what lets that much sesame stick without the crust turning soft.
