Ingredients

  • 12 oz rice noodles
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz ground pork
  • 8 oz raw shrimp, peeled
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 4 lime wedges

Directions

  1. 1Fry the garlic in vegetable oil for 2 minutes until golden and set it aside.
  2. 2Bring chicken broth to a simmer and add ground pork, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. 3Add shrimp, fish sauce, and sugar and simmer for 3 minutes until the shrimp are opaque.
  4. 4Cook the rice noodles separately and divide among bowls.
  5. 5Ladle the pork-shrimp broth over the noodles.
  6. 6Top with bean sprouts, green onions, cilantro, fried garlic, and lime.

💡 Cook the noodles separately so they do not release starch into the clear broth.
