Lamb Kofta
Aromatic grilled lamb meatballs infused with spices and fresh herbs, served with warm pita bread and cooling tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients
- •500g ground lamb
- •1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- •1/4 cup fresh mint, finely chopped
- •1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- •1 small onion, finely minced
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 teaspoon ground cumin
- •1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- •1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- •1 egg
- •to taste Salt and pepper
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- 1In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, parsley, mint, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, egg, salt, and pepper.
- 2Mix the ingredients with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
- 3Divide the mixture into 12-16 portions and mold each one around a skewer or into an oval patty shape.
- 4Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat or prepare a grill to medium-high temperature.
- 5Cook the kofta for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and lightly browned on all sides.
- 6Transfer the cooked kofta to a serving plate and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
- 7Serve hot with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, and tzatziki sauce on the side.
