  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 4 lemons, zested and juiced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions

  1. 1Mix flour, cold butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt until breadcrumb texture forms, then press into a 9-inch tart pan and bake at 375°F for 12 minutes until golden.
  2. 2In a heatproof bowl, whisk together eggs, 1 cup sugar, 6 tablespoons butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice over simmering water, stirring constantly for 10-12 minutes until thick.
  3. 3Pour the lemon curd into the cooled tart shell and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
  4. 4Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, then serve alongside the tart.
